Senior Software Engineer

Hello, my name is Alek, and I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 8 years of experience building web and mobile apps, mostly with TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Right now I work as a Full-stack Software Engineer at Red Alert Labs, on a platform for cybersecurity certification of IoT devices.

I’ve worked on products in cybersecurity, automotive, and OTT video streaming. Some were tools for internal teams, others were used by thousands of people. What I enjoy most is solving problems that make an app faster or easier to use.

My recent work includes AI-powered applications: a production assistant integration at Red Alert Labs and SVG Studio, a conversational SVG editor I built with Vercel AI SDK, hybrid RAG, guardrails and LLM-as-a-judge evaluations. I bring the same focus to these systems as to my frontend and full-stack work: clear interactions, reliable data flows and useful feedback when something fails.

Personal project

SVG Studio

A conversational workspace for creating and editing SVG artwork. I built the streaming React interface, tool-calling agents with Vercel AI SDK and OpenAI, and hybrid RAG using pgvector. Layered guardrails validate requests and SVG output, while a Braintrust evaluation harness combines deterministic checks with a vision-based LLM-as-a-judge. The app includes saved conversations and public result links.

Red Alert Labs | 2023 - Present

IoT Certification Platform

I built a form engine that turns JSON schemas into multi-step certification workflows. Adding a new certification scheme used to take 3-4 weeks of back-and-forth between engineers and our cybersecurity specialist. Now the specialist does it alone in about 10 hours. The engine powers 25+ schemes and has supported 5,000+ issued certificates. I also integrated a partner’s retrieval-based AI platform into a production assistant that helps users fill out these forms, with tenant-aware context and streamed responses.

Ferrari Beverly Hills

I led development of the dealership’s web app, an 8-month build that we delivered on time and on budget. I managed a team of 4 developers and ran weekly demos with the client. The app has a vehicle inventory (150+ pre-owned listings, 20+ new models), a registry of 38,000+ US-registered Ferraris, 300+ dealership events, and a customer forum, all managed through a CMS.

NetCast | 2018 - 2022

OTT Video Streaming Platform

I built the React web app and the React Native mobile app for a streaming product with 300+ live TV channels and around 1,000 on-demand movies. I designed the multitenancy setup that let one codebase serve 5 white-label clients, including a sports streaming service with 5,000+ users. I also worked on the internal admin tools: a CRM, a CMS, and a real-time statistics dashboard.

Personal project

HabitStars

An offline habit tracker for iOS where you scratch a star each time you complete a habit. I built the React Native/Expo app with Zustand, versioned local persistence and schema migrations, and managed its App Store releases through EAS.
